The Quest Begins

Nisa tells Kallik and Taqqiq the story of Silaluk.

The three hunters- Robin, Chickadee, and Moose Bird- chase Silaluk throughout burn-sky. When they catch up to the polar bear, they shoot her with firesticks, and kill her. Her blood makes tree leaves turn red in the fall. Each year, Silaluk is reborn and the process starts all over again.
