Great Bear Lake is the place where the title of Great Bear Lake is based. It's where a gathering of bears takes place once every year on the Longest Day. Paw Print Island is located in the middle of it. It's near Big River which the main characters cross later. It's called Great Bear Lake by the flat-faces as well and is in Canada near the Smokey Mountains. Bear Rock is also not too far away.
