- Olikpok is told by Sakari that Toklo will teach them to fight Salik, and he goes with Tartok. At first he is doubtful, but he is a quick learner.
- He fights and keeps watch with Nukka a lot, and during the battle they drive away one of Salik's bears.

- Seeing as he is with Nukka a lot, he may have a crush on her.[2]
- Olikpok's name means "shivers" in Inuktitut.[3]
