Piper is a small black and white dog.[1]

The Last Wilderness[]
- When Maria thinks Ujurak has pet bears, she brings Piper who is her pet to meet Ujurak. Piper seems confused by Ujurak's scent which may be because Ujurak is truly a bear. However, no other animals have realized that Ujurak is truly a bear, so it is highly unlikely that Piper noticed a different scent.
- Piper does not appear again in the Seekers series.
