The following is a list of rules for the Seekers Wiki.

Rules for all users

Copying Coding

  • Copying coding from user pages/signatures is not allowed.
    • If a user are found copying coding from other users, they will be warned by an admin.
    • Copying again will result in a ban; time depends on the situation.

Editing

  • Do not add content that does not relate to the page.
    • If an editor is found doing this, they will receive a 1 week ban, as well as a note on their talk page explaining why they were banned.
      • If the editor does the same thing again, they will receive a 1 month ban.
        • Any further edits adding unrelated content will result in a longer ban; time depends on situation.
  • No undoing edits unless completely necessary.
    • If an editor undoes a contributive edit, they will receive a warning.
      • If an editor undoes one again, they will receive another warning.
        • Again, and the editor will be banned from seekers wiki for a week.
        • Further random undoing will result in another ban. Time depends on the situation.

Pictures

  • Any inappropriate pictures will be deleted and the user who uploaded the picture will be warned.
    • Adding more inappropriate pictures results in a 1 month ban.
      • If a user uploads more inappropriate pictures, they will be banned. Time depends on the situation.

User talk pages

  • No inappropriate content
    • Inappropriate content will result in a warning.
      • If the editor decides to continue to add inappropriate content, they will recieve a second warning.
      • Further inappropriate content will result in a ban. Time depends on the situation.
  • No spamming talk pages
    • If an editor is found spamming a talk page, they will recieve a warning.
      • More spamming results in a second warning.
        • Spamming after the two warnings results in a ban. Length of ban is chosen by admins.
  • No cursing
    • Any swearing found on talk pages will be removed
      • Further swearing will result in a warning
        • Further swearing will result in a 2 week ban
          • Any swearing found after that will result in a ban. Time depends on the situation.

Signatures

  • No offensive words on a signature
    • Offensive language on a signature will result in a warning to remove the language.
      • If the user does not remove offensive language, they will be issued a 1 week ban.
        • After the ban, any more signature violations results in a ban. Time of the ban is chosen by admins.

Chat Rules

  • No swearing.
    • Swearing will result in a kick from chat.
      • If the user decides to swear again, they will be warned on their talk page as well as kicked from chat again.
        • If a user continues to swear after the two kicks and a warning, they will recieve a chat ban that lasts for one month.
          • If they swear any more after that, they will recieve a one year ban from Seekers Wiki chat.
  • No discussing inappropriate topics
    • Discussing inappropriate topic will result a kick fromm chat as well as a warning on the offender's talk page.
      • If the user decides to discuss more inappropriate topics, they will recieve a one week chat ban as well as a second warning.
        • Any more violations of this rule results in another chat ban. Length of the ban depends on how bad the violation of this rule was.
  • No advertising other Wikis. Seekers Wiki is not a place to advertise your wiki. If a user specifically asks for your Wiki, you may post the link.
    • Advertising will result in a warning on your talk page.
      • If you advertise a second time, you will recieve a kick from chat.
        • Any further advertising results in a one week chat ban each time you advertise
  • No personal attacks on a user.
    • If there is a personal attack made against a user, they user will be kicked from chat and recieve a warning on their talk page explaining why they were kicked.
  • Spamming is not allowed.
    • If a user is found spamming, they will be kicked from chat.
      • Any more spamming results in a 1 day chat ban.

If you have been kicked, or banned from chat, and you believe you did nothing wrong, contact an active admin, bureaucrat, or chat-mod to discuss the ban.
