Swift is a male seal.
Spirits in the Stars
Swift does not actually appear in the book, but he is mentioned by Dark. Swift was the head seal when the seals were preparing to move away from their home due to orca attacks. The seals ended up not moving when the no-swims started to kill the orcas.
