The Dead Forest is a forest that had supposedly been burnt after being struck by lightning.

In The Original Series arc

The Quest Begins

Oka tells Lusa that after she abandoned Toklo, she ventured through The Dead Forest. Lusa wonders how it burnt and Oka tells her that lightning had struck it.
Lusa, on her way to find Toklo, crosses through the Dead Forest.

Great Bear Lake

Ujurak convinces Lusa to come with him and Toklo. Lusa agrees and they leave the Dead Forest.
