Smoke Mountain

Qopuk tells the bears of a legend of Smoke Mountain. It tells of a giant flat-face as tall as seven trees that hunted, cooked and ate thirty bears. It is said that his cooking fires can still be seen on Smoke Mountain.

As the Seekers travel through the mountain range, they are left wondering about the legend, but the giant does not appear. They conclude that the myth originated from sightings of smoke rising from inside the mountains.
